This Putnam High School Ranks High In U.S. News List

One high school in Putnam County and several other neighboring Northern Westchester schools were ranked high statewide and nationwide, according to the latest survey by U.S. News & World Report.

U.S. News' rankings emphasize student outcomes, using information on graduation rates and state assessments for more than 20,500 schools nationally.

Carmel High School: ranked 126th statewide and 1,381st nationwide.
North Salem Middle School/High School: ranked 41st statewide and 283rd nationwide,
Yorktown High School ranked 76th statewide and 725th nationwide.
Lakeland High School ranked 77th statewide and 735th nationwide.
Walter Panas High School: ranked 106th statewide and 1,049th nationwide.
